Description
Radiators and air conditioning units are often optically unacceptable in modern, glass-fronted public and commercial buildings. And yet the design of these buildings makes the demand for some form of air conditioning all the more urgent.
The demand-led supply of filtered, heated or cooled air using SAC both problems simultaneously and yet, from a practical point of view, the units are hidden out of sight in the floor.
All this using the most modern heating and cooling technology:
- asynchronous external rotor motors produce approximately 50% energy savings, yet provide greater output using large-dimensioned cross-flow fans
- 150 mm deep units are now available to provide even more output
(with window-side outlets for maximum air mixing)
Features
Cooling floor fan convectors operate on the principle of SFC-FC. In the cooling mode, the SFC-H&C unit draws in warm air from the areas around windows and hot walls, cools it in the heat exchanger, and feeds it back into the room.
This reduces heat gains due to heat room envelope surfaces. In the cooling process, a part of moisture is extracted form the air; this dehumidification also constributes to thermal comfort.
In the heating mode, the process is inverted : the SFC-H&C unit draws in cold air form the window areas, heats it and feeds back into the room.
